Physical Education at Hillocks

We are delighted to announce that we, Hillocks Primary School, have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017-18 academic year.

At Hillocks, we are very lucky to have Mark Dobb and Sophie Dunn helping to deliver the PE curriculum throughout school and organising lots of extra-curricular activities.

Children should have their PE kit in school at all times.

 PE kit consists of:

  • Shorts or jogging bottoms
  • T-shirt
  • Plimsolls/trainers
  • A suitable sports jumper/jacket

Children should NOT wear any jewellery during PE lessons and earrings should be removed before your child comes to school (staff are not permitted to put earrings in for children).

In the summer we often increase the amount of outdoor PE taught, it is therefore important that children apply sun cream to protect them.

Swimming lessons take place during the year at Lammas Leisure Centre. If it is your child’s turn they will be given a letter to confirm when their lessons are. Swimming takes place on Tuesday afternoons.

If there is a medical reason for your child being unable to take part in PE lessons then a letter should be sent with them to school.
